The Sol Bod Movement Mission
Sol Bod Movement was born from resilience, passion, and a deep belief in the power of movement.
Founded by Rhiannon Edwards
Sol Bod is more than just a Pilates studio, it’s a space built on real experience, real challenges, and real transformation.
Rhiannon has been teaching reformer Pilates on the Mornington Peninsula since 2019, helping people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies. When the pandemic hit and studios closed, she didn’t stop, she adapted. Taking her classes online, she continued supporting her community and even offered free weekly sessions across social media to keep people moving during uncertain times.
Then life threw something far bigger her way. At the end of 2021, just four months after welcoming her daughter, Hennie, Rhiannon was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer.
Movement became more than a profession. It became a lifeline.
Advised to stay active to support both her treatment and mental health, Rhiannon continued teaching and practising Pilates throughout her journey. Today, she is proudly in remission, and that experience has shaped everything Sol Bod Movement stands for.
It’s not just about fitness. It’s about strength in every sense of the word. It’s about showing up for yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
It’s about creating a space where every body, in every season of life, feels welcome, supported, and empowered.
